Indigenous Peoples Day to be held Oct. 8

Duluth Mayor Herb Bergson will hold a news conference on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. to proclaim Monday, October 8 as the third annual “Indigenous Peoples Day” in Duluth.

The day is designed to raise awareness regarding the traditional Columbus Day holiday and its effect on indigenous peoples. The event will be held in the Fourth Floor Reception Room, which is Room 405 of Duluth City Hall.
