Docked ship taking on water in Duluth harbor

A ship has taken on water after trying to dock on the Superior side of the Duluth harbor.

Mike McKoshen, president of Hallet Dock Company, says the 1,000-foot Walter J. McCarthy was being docked for the winter when it hit a pier at the Hallot 8 Docks off of Winter Street.

The vessel is owned by the American Steamship Company.
