Freshman goaltender Jennifer Harss (left) made 24 saves for her third career win in the Bulldogs 2-0 win over St. Cloud State in a Western Collegiate Hockey Association womens game Sunday at the DECC.
Katie Wilson and Mariia Posa scored for UMD, which plays a two-game series at Minnesota Friday-Saturday.
“We had to fight through a lot of things today and we did just that,’” UMD coach Shannon Miller said after the game, in a prepared statement. “We beat their goaltender and then we closed the door and got it done. It shows a lot about the character of this team.”
The sixth-ranked Bulldogs improved to 3-1 and 2-0 in the WCHA.
