The Marshall School Drama department will present the musical Once Upon at Mattress on Thursday through Sunday at Fregeau Auditorium on campus. Performances will be at 7 p.m. each night, with a 2 p.m. performance Sunday.
Tickets will be available are at the door for: $7 adults, $5 students and $3 Marshall students.
Based on the classic story of The Princess and the Pea, and featuring a wave of wonderful songs, the show promises to be by turns hilarious and raucous, romantic and melodic. This rollicking spin on the familiar classic of royal courtship and comeuppance provides for some side-splitting shenanigans. Chances are you’ll never look at fairy tales quite the same way again.
Notable songs include, “Shy,” “In a Little While”, “Normandy”, Happily Ever After” and “The Swamps of Home.”
