WestmorelandFlint has named Jessica Stauber as director of public relations and hired Sarah C. Libbon as a senior account manager.
WestmorelandFlint, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary, is a full-service marketing, advertising, public relations and interactive agency in Duluth.
Stauber has been at WestmorelandFlint for more than seven years. She’s played a significant role in the agency’s growth through her roles as a copywriter, account manager and director of account services.
Stauber graduated from UW-Madison with degrees in political science and journalism, with focuses in broadcast and public relations. Along with working at WestmorelandFlint, her professional experience includes being a television reporter and anchor in Duluth and Green Bay, and working as a public relations specialist at St. Luke’s Hospital.
“Because of her breadth of public relations experience, Jessica has been handling many of our PR efforts already, so her transition into this new role for our agency is a natural one,” said WestmorelandFlint Vice President Laura Sieger. “Client demand for public relations is rapidly increasing, as well as opportunities to engage with people because of the incredibly fast-paced growth of social media. Allowing Jessica to focus more exclusively on public relations strategy and implementation — both in traditional venues and online — will be a great benefit to our clients.”
In her new role, Stauber will work with clients on strategic public relations plans, news release writing and pitching, crisis communications, presentation training, and social media strategy and implementation. She will also be a key member of the Flint Group’s social media team.
Meantime, Libbon, as senior account manager, will develop integrated marketing solutions for clients.
Libbon graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in journalism, with an emphasis in public relations. Her professional experience includes being a senior consultant with HBH Consultants, an organizational and fund development consulting firm. She was also a development officer with CentraCare Health Foundation and senior communications officer for the Southwest Initiative Foundation.
Libbon is an accomplished freelance writer and her creative marketing concepts have earned state and national awards.
“Sarah brings with her a background rich in developing marketing plans and strategic solutions,” said Sieger. “She’s clearly committed to both providing excellent client service and strategic advice that will help businesses and organizations move forward. She’ll be a great addition to our team.”
