The Bulldogs defeated Maryville University 91-53 in college mens basketball Saturday.
UMD senior guard Ron White narrowly missed his first career triple-double, finishing with eight points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Ryan Rasmussen and Jake Hottenstine (pictured) led the Bulldogs with 15 points each.
“It was a great all-around game,” Bulldogs coach Gary Holquist said. “It’s a young team so there’s going to be ups and downs. We just have to work on being more consistent.”
The Bulldogs outrebounded Maryville 50-33 and held them to 33 percent shooting from the field and 18 percent from three point range. UMD shot 45 percent from the field and was 12-26 (46.2%) from beyond the arc.
The Bulldogs will play host to UWS at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
