Bellisio Foods, Inc. is donating 60,000 Michelina’s® frozen dinners to Northlanders in need.
“In recognition of severe economic hardships for many in the region, especially at the onset of cold weather, the tractor-trailer truckload of Michelina’s frozen dinners is a gift to families who will be struggling through difficult times,” said Joel Conner, Chairman of Bellisio Foods, Inc.
Under the direction of Envoy Alan Carlson, who heads the Duluth office of The Salvation Army, volunteers will distribute the cases of dinners to human service agencies from throughout Northeastern Minnesota on Tuesday, September 23.
“This is really a blessing because we’re coming into a season where everything’s going to be vying for people’s money,” said Carlson. “Some people will have to decide whether to buy food or fuel, so this donation is truly heaven sent.”
