City of Duluth utility operations crews are repairing a water main located at 1511 N 53rd Avenue W. Water is turned off on between N 53rd avenue W and Albion Street and Columbia Street to N Central Avenue. The duration of the repair is unknown at this time. Crews are working to repair the break and restore water service as quickly as possible.
Thursday’s update revealed a broad community vision and made clear that its success will now depend on whether the participating organizations can establish the development corporation, finance housing and service expansions and turn conceptual public improvements into completed projects.

Northern Minnesota high school football features several rivalry games tonight. Hermantown (1-0) travels to Proctor (0-1) for a 7 p.m. kickoff in the most compelling matchup on a deep regional schedule, while Esko (1-0) visits Cloquet (0-1) at 5 p.m. in another neighborhood rivalry.
Hermantown’s official season has not started, and nobody should confuse impressive returning statistics with a championship already won. Hibbing-Chisholm remains the Section 7A champion until somebody takes the trophy away.
