Duluth News Tribune to host ‘Always Local’ discussion Sept. 30

The Duluth News Tribune will host Always Local: A Discussion with the Duluth News Tribune on Tuesday, Sept. 30, at Zeitgeist Zinema 2 in downtown Duluth.

The free program runs from 2 to 4 p.m., with doors opening at 1:30 p.m. at 222 E. Superior St.

The event will feature remarks from Bill Marcil Jr., followed by a panel discussion with News Tribune editorial staff and an audience Q&A. Attendees will have an opportunity to hear about the role of community journalism and share feedback on how the newspaper can better serve the region.

Free parking is available at the venue.

The News Tribune said the event's goal is to highlight the importance and impact of local news coverage.

“It isn’t a strategy,” the paper said in announcing the program. “It’s our story. While others report from a distance, we report from right down the street.”
