Hermantown clips Grand Rapids on Nelson's late goal

Hunter Nelson buried the game-winner with just 26 seconds remaining to lift Hermantown past Grand Rapids 2-1 in a Lake Superior Conference boys soccer match Thursday night.

Grand Rapids pulled even early in the second half when Ben Blake converted a penalty kick in the 49th minute. The match stayed tied until Nelson’s late strike in the 79th minute sealed the victory.

Goalkeeper Ethan Aysta kept Hermantown in front with 11 saves, while Grand Rapids’ Hayden Jackson stopped nine shots.
