Hermantown's Freeman named 2024 Prep Baseball Preseason Player of the Year

The individual awards keep piling up for Hermantown ultra-elite athlete River Freeman.

Freeman, a junior pitcher-catcher, today was named HowieHanson.com 2024 Prep Baseball Preseason Player of the Year.

The two-year starter, who led the Hawks to a 17-6 record and Section 7AAA runner-up finish a year ago, is widely recognized as a rising college and professional prospect.

Freeman, a 5-10, 179-pounder, also starred for the Encompass Expos traveling team last summer.
