Vienna Kolenda scored three goals, including two during a decisive second-half stretch, as Hermantown shut out North Branch 6-0 in nonconference girls soccer.
Kolenda opened the scoring in the ninth minute, converting a pass from Bryden Giesen. Kaitlyn Patterson extended the lead to 2-0 in the 28th minute on an assist from Payton Holt.
Hermantown broke the game open shortly after halftime. Kaija Markovich scored from Piper Raukar in the 46th minute, and Kolenda added another Raukar-assisted goal one minute later.
Kolenda completed her hat trick with an unassisted goal in the 50th minute, giving the Hawks three goals in five minutes and a 5-0 lead.
Ryann Knight finished the scoring in the 78th minute off an assist from Patterson.
Hermantown goalkeepers Isla Radzak and Ava DeTray combined for the shutout. Radzak was not required to make a first-half save, while DeTray made one save in the second half.
North Branch goalkeeper Kennedy Mandt made eight saves.
