The Northern Lights Foundation will hold its annual Children’s Charity Gala on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center.

The foundation’s largest fundraiser of the year will support area children and families dealing with life-threatening illnesses. The event will be held in the DECC’s Lake Superior Ballroom, 350 Harbor Drive.

A social hour featuring hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction will begin at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m., followed by a program, awards presentation and live auction. Families assisted by the foundation will share their stories during the program.

Dinner selections include top sirloin with Cabernet demi-glace, champagne chicken and a vegetarian roasted butternut squash plank topped with wild rice and cranberries.

Proceeds from ticket sales and the auctions will help the Northern Lights Foundation provide financial assistance to families facing medical and related expenses.

Individual tickets are available through the foundation’s online registration page. Reservations are requested by Monday, Sept. 14.

Businesses and individuals interested in donating silent-auction items may contact gala coordinator Todd Johnson at toddj@northernlightsfoundation.org
