Police investigate reported shooting in Duluth’s East Hillside

Based on preliminary information, investigators believe the people involved were targeting each other.

DULUTH, Minn. — Duluth police are investigating a reported shooting Thursday evening in the city’s East Hillside neighborhood that left no confirmed victims and no arrests as of Friday.

Officers were dispatched at approximately 5:15 p.m. to the 700 block of East Fourth Street after receiving reports of possible gunfire. Upon arrival, police recovered multiple shell casings from the scene, according to a department statement.

Authorities said no individuals have come forward reporting injuries related to the incident.

Based on preliminary information, investigators believe the people involved were targeting each other. The department’s investigations unit is actively following leads and continuing to gather information.

Police said the investigation remains ongoing and additional details will be released as they become available.
