"On Monday I spent time in Bayfront attending the 'Unity in Our Community' event organized by Duluth Public Schools. Being a better partner includes with ISD 709. It wasn't the best of weather, but it was still a really strong turnout! From arts and crafts to bouncy houses, and the exciting backpack giveaway by the Family Freedom Center and Cirrus Aircraft, and blue jean pick from Maurices - every aspect was bringing our community together and launching our youngest members in the right direction for the start of the school year. I applaud the Duluth Public Schools, and the countless volunteers involved, for recognizing the importance of uniting students, families, and the greater Duluth community."
