Vikings begin roster reductions ahead of final roster cut deadline

EAGAN, Minn. – The Vikings have begun their roster reductions ahead of the 2023 regular season.
The team on Monday announced the following roster moves:

CB Kalon Barnes
CB C.J. Coldon, Jr.

CB Jameson Houston
LB Wilson Huber
WR Garett
Vikings sign cornerback Jameson Houston
He first entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Browns but was waived in August 2020. He then spent a stint with the Panthers and his former college coach Matt Rhule but was waived during final roster cuts.
Vikings sign former Ram Jake Gervase
EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings on Thursday announced the signing of safety Jake Gervase.
Gervase joins the Vikings after playing 19 regular-season games over the past four seasons with the Rams. He also played in all four playoff games on the way to Los Angeles winning Super Bowl LVI.

Vikings sign quarterback Jordan Ta'amu

EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings on Monday signed quarterback Jordan Ta'amu.
In order to make room for Ta'amu on the roster, the Vikings waived outside linebacker Curtis Weaver.
Ta'amu is joining Minnesota after starring for the D.C. Defenders of the XFL.
