Proctor 3, Duluth Denfeld 1 – Austin Bryant scored two goals as the Rails improved to 10-5-0 overall, winning their fifth in their last six and posting their first Lake Superior Conference victory in five starts. The Hunters had a three-game win streak snapped and fell to 8-4-1.

Hermantown 5, Rock Ridge 1 – Senior forward Joshua Kauppinen had a hat trick for the Class 1A/No. 1-ranked Hawks. Junior forward Charlie Marchand added a pair of power-play goals and senior goaltender Dane Callaway stopped 26 of 27 shots for Hermantown. The Hawks (8-2-2) will host Class 2A power Eden Prairie (7-3-1) at 3 p.m. Saturday at historic Hermantown Arena.

Grand Rapids 5, Duluth East 3 – The host Thunderhawks rallied with five unanswered third-period goals, including a hat trick by senior forward Jacob Garski. The Greyhounds were out-shot 45-23 and fell to 3-9-1 overall.
