Hermantown star Senst attacks rehabilitation, targets football opener

Senst is the athlete younger Hawks can watch and emulate, the teammate coaches can trust and the quarterback willing to accept responsibility. He is already one of Hermantown High School’s finest athletes. His senior year could add another memorable chapter, but it will not define him.

St. Louis County declares local emergency as wildfires spread
Here is a weather model (HRRR model) forecast of near-surface smoke trends through the rest of today into tonight. Overall note is that a cold front moving south through northern Minnesota will result in winds shifting to northwest and then northerly, which will bring the plumes of wildfire smoke into the Arrowhead and eventually down towards the Twin Ports and into northwest Wisconsin towards the very late evening/overnight hours. St. Louis County declares local emergency as wildfires spread

Smoke from the wildfires also is creating dangerous air quality conditions across the region. By Wednesday morning, air quality throughout St. Louis County was expected to reach hazardous or very unhealthy levels.
