City of Duluth, community partners to host brownfield cleanup and redevelopment informational meetings

By Kelli Latuska

The City of Duluth, along with state and community partners at the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, TAB, and Kansas State University, announce their collaborative Brownfield Redevelopment and Cleanup Resources symposiums. Interested parties can join neighborhood business leaders, small businesses, landlords, and government partners for a conversation about resources for redevelopment, brownfields, and property due diligence.

Participants can expect the discussions to include:

  • rehabbing and development smaller, older properties
  • brownfield and due diligence background processes from state and local experts
  • resources and funding available to assist local developers
  • local success stories from the West Duluth and Lincoln Park neighborhoods.

Participants will have two opportunities to join the discussion: the first is on May 14 at the BB Event Gallery, located at 5727 Grand Avenue, from 11:15 am to 1:00 pm; the second opportunity is on May 15 at the Ecolibrium3 Community Hub, located at 2014 W Third Street, from 8:00 am to 9:30 am.
