Man struck by vehicle

First responders and law enforcement today were dispatched to the 5300 block of Highway 25, just south of Kinney, following the discovery of a man in a ditch.

Upon arrival, emergency services found a 26-year-old man who seemed to have been struck by a vehicle that had fled the scene.

The man sustained serious injuries and was subsequently airlifted to a Duluth hospital for treatment.

The incident is under active investigation by the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota State Patrol.
