A 17-year-old male was taken into custody following an attempted armed robbery Monday night in Duluth’s Lincoln Park neighborhood, police said.

Duluth police responded at about 8 p.m. to a report of a person with a gun in the 400 block of Lincoln Park Drive. Authorities said a man was meeting a known individual to sell an item when the suspect attempted to rob him at gunpoint.

The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle that was later located by the Minnesota State Patrol. The juvenile was lodged at the Arrowhead Juvenile Center on suspicion of aiding and abetting aggravated robbery.

The investigation remains active, and no additional information was released.
