SPOTLIGHT OF THE MONTH

This month's staff shout out goes to Public Information Officer Kelli Latuska.

Kelli is a familiar face across the city and is the go-to person for external communications for nearly every department. She works around the clock and brings her journalistic and political savvy to all of her communication outreach.

She is adept at creating media events to highlight the great work happening within our local government. Kelli recently arranged a media event for the Fire Department's Push In Ceremony to officially welcome Engine 10 into service. She arranged invited guests and full media coverage within a single morning.

Days later she also arranged a news conference to welcome Viking Octantis as the first ship to dock at the seawall in front of the DECC. With multiple speakers from elected offices and private businesses with impressive speed and flexibility. The story attracted local and state media coverage.

Thanks, Kelli, for being an advocate and champion for the City of Duluth.
