Hermantown defeated Denfeld 7-2 in a 7AAA quarterfinal high school baseball game at Fichtner Field on Thursday night. The Hawks will host Grand Rapids in a semifinal Saturday.

. Holdyn Evjen, Colten Danelski, Peyton Menzel and Izy Farchild of Hermantown qualified for the AA Minnesota State High School State Golf Tournament on June 13-14 at the Ridges at Sand Creek in Jordan. They qualified Thursday at section golf tournament Giants Ridge Golf Course. The boys team placed second.
