Duluth Denfeld will face defending champion Totino-Grace in a Class 3A state tournament quarterfinal at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Williams Arena.

(7) Duluth Denfeld (20-9) vs. (2) Totino-Grace (22-5), 2 p.m.

(6) Byron (26-3) vs. (3) Alexandria (26-3), 4 p.m.

3A Notebook – Mankato East defeated Alexandria and Orono during the regular season. The Hunters are led by 5-foot-9 senior shooting guard and program career scoring leader MarNaries Ferguson (23.5 ppg), and 6-6 sophomore forward Carter Brown (13.5) is a quickly rising college prospect. Totino-Grace scoring leaders are 6-2 senior guard Chase Watley (21.5), sophomore point guard Malachi Hill (13.2), 6-6 junior power forward Dothan Ijadimbola (12.6) and 6-4 junior guard Tian Chatman (10.2). The Eagles have won nine straight.
