The $2.3 million renovation has been in the planning or construction phases since 2014. The remodeled space brings together the resources of the library, the Tutoring and Learning Center, the federally funded TRiO Student Support Services, and the student Technology Support Center. The redesigned space includes 10 group study rooms for 4-12 students each. The TLC has large rooms for Math, Science, and Writing tutoring services.

“We’re thrilled to open the doors to this reimagined space,” said Lake Superior College President Dr. Patricia Rogers. “The support services our librarians, IT helpdesk staff, tutors, and counselors can provide in this area are critical to student success.”

Funding for this remodeled space came from a blend of one-time state of Minnesota aid as well as the college’s reserve or savings fund.
