Delvon Randall, a former All-American Athletic Conference safety at Temple and one of the top defensive playmakers in the Arena Football One league last season, has joined the Minnesota Monsters.

Randall, 27, starred at Temple University from 2015-18, where he developed a reputation as an instinctive ball hawk and physical open-field tackler. He finished his college career with 12 interceptions, 179 solo tackles and 6.5 tackles for loss while helping the Owls to back-to-back 10-win seasons and an AAC championship. He earned All-AAC honors three straight years and served as a team captain his senior season.

After going undrafted in 2019, Randall signed with the Philadelphia Eagles as a free agent and later spent time in the CFL with the Ottawa Redblacks. He continued his professional career in indoor and arena football, where his ball-hawking ability quickly translated.

Randall played last year for the Orlando Predators in AF1 and emerged as one of the league’s premier defensive threats. He led AF1 in interceptions and became a centerpiece of the Predators’ secondary, routinely matching up with top receivers in tight coverage. His production and experience made him one of the most sought-after defensive backs on the market entering the 2026 season.

The Monsters did not release contract terms but said Randall is expected to compete for a starting role in the secondary.

Howie: Bulldogs fighting for home ice in the playoffs

Home ice is there for the taking. The Bulldogs will either take points from Denver, survive North Dakota, and handle their business against Miami and Colorado College — or they’ll finish fifth, look back at a missed weekend or two, and tell themselves they were close.
