Olympic Curling: Duluth pair remains unbeaten in mixed doubles

Korey Dropkin and Cory Thiesse stayed perfect Friday, rolling to an 8-1 win over the Czech Republic’s Julie Zelingrova and Vit Chabicovsky in Olympic mixed doubles curling.

The Duluth-based Americans broke the match open with three points in the second end to take a 4-0 lead, then forced a concession after seven ends — their first of the tournament.

Thiesse posted a 98 percent shot success rate as the U.S. improved to 4-0.

Dropkin and Thiesse will meet the only other unbeaten team, Great Britain’s Jennifer Dodds and Bruce Mouat, on Saturday at 7:35 a.m.
