Physical Therapist Alyvia Dobs, DPT, is joining St. Luke’s.
Dobs is from Duluth. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology and Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees from the College of St. Scholastica. She is board certified by the Minnesota Board of Physical Therapy.
Dobs’ areas of interest include pelvic health, manual therapy and general orthopedics rehab.
Conducted every five years since 1995, the Bridge to Health Survey aims to answer a key question: How healthy is the Northland? It covers a wide range of topics including physical and mental health, nutrition, exercise, tobacco and alcohol use, dental care, insurance coverage, and social connection.
Negotiations continue at Solvay Hospice House and Essentia Health Surgery Center-Miller Hill in Duluth. Two bargaining sessions were held this week, with additional meetings scheduled for Sept. 8 at Solvay and Sept. 10 at the Surgery Center.
“LiveWell provides free activities to community members with the idea of improving well-being while building connections between people and the outdoors,” said Lynn Goerdt, a social worker and coordinator of LiveWell at UW-Superior.

The Minnesota Monsters have made their move by stepping into a stronger league and bringing the team into Amsoil. Tuesday afternoon is the community’s opportunity to meet the players, see the vision for the franchise and decide whether Duluth intends to build something lasting around it.
UMD has not advanced beyond the quarterfinal round since the 2021-22 season, when it won the NCHC Frozen Faceoff. Since then, the Bulldogs are 2-5 in the quarterfinals, losing series to St. Cloud State in 2022-23, Denver in 2023-24 and Arizona State in 2024-25.
