St. Luke’s will host a groundbreaking ceremony for Phase II of its Health Forward campus expansion initiative at 2 p.m. Thursday in front of St. Luke’s Building A located at 1015 East 1st Street in Duluth.

The new phase includes a vertical expansion of Building A and state-funded construction of a new, city-owned parking ramp across the street from St. Luke’s Building A (a replacement of the current Northland ramp).

Speakers will include Nick Van Deelen, MD, St. Luke’s Co-President/CEO & CMO; Scott Mikesell, DO, FACC, FSCAI, FSVM, St. Luke’s Cardiac Cath Labs Medical Director; Brittney Kurhajetz, RN, BSN, CCRN, St. Luke’s Critical Care Manager; Emily Larson, Duluth Mayor; and Daniel Fanning, Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce Vice President of Strategy & Policy, and Executive Director of Duluth Area Chamber Foundation.
