Tuesday Night Sports Notebook

Abe Soumis and Nathan Hill of Hermantown are rostered to play for Northern Lakers 2024 in the Prep Hoops Live AAU tournament in Minneapolis this weekend.

PREP BASEBALL

Hermantown improved to 3-0 with a 10-5 victory against Proctor in Lake Superior Conference baseball Tuesday afternoon at Egerdahl Field in Proctor. The Hawks will visit Cloquet Wednesday.

PREP HOOPS

Abe Soumis and Nathan Hill of Hermantown are rostered to play for Northern Lakers 2024 in the Prep Hoops Live AAU tournament in Minneapolis this weekend. Esko standouts Zander Gabel, Jacion Owens and Dalton Spindler are Northern Lakers teammates.

Starks Elite 2024, led by 6-foot-5 2025 Brooks Johnson of Duluth Marshall and 6-4 2024 Aidan Altona of Duluth Denfeld, is also participating in the event.

The Monsters are Duluth’s newest professional arena football team and will compete in Arena One Football this season. The team will play home games at Amsoil Arena. Arena football is played indoors on a shortened, 50-yard field.
