Swim Creative returning to 4-day work week for summer months

Swim Creative, a leading full-service marketing and interactive agency, is returning to a four-day work week for the summer months starting May 31 and going through Labor Day.

The summer policy allows Swim Creative's employees to complete their work Monday through Thursday while still receiving full-time salary and benefits. The company adopted the four-day workweek in the summer months of 2023 and found that productivity actually increased. Team members were healthier and happier and spent more time with their friends and family, enjoying the region and all that it has to offer.

“Having a four-day work week in the summer months is another benefit to working at Swim Creative,” said David Sadowski, Partner and Brand Developer. "After a long winter, we encourage our staff to get out and play in northern Minnesota. Live like a tourist, we tell them! And it’s great to hear about everyone's long weekend adventures at our Monday morning staff meeting.”

The agency is committed to making the transition to the 4-day work week as smooth as possible for their clients while continuing its mission to provide innovative and effective marketing solutions. Again this year, Swim will implement an “on-call” system to ensure clients are cared for. Half of the agency’s employees will check emails and be on standby every other Friday during the summer. Swim is proud to be at the forefront of promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Howie: Minnesota has outgrown its stories

Minnesota does not need more outrage. It needs clearer accounting. It needs fewer slogans and more follow-through. It needs to revisit old assumptions with open eyes and accept that a reputation earned decades ago does not guarantee results today.
