Vikings claim cornerback John Reid on waivers from Falcons

The Vikings have added to their cornerbacks room again.

Minnesota on Thursday announced it has claimed former Atlanta Falcons cornerback John Reid via waivers.

Reid, 26, is preparing for his fourth NFL season since being drafted in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans (141st overall).

The native of Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, has appeared in 27 games and made four starts (one with Houston in 2020, two with Seattle in 2021 and one with Tennessee in 2022).

Listed at 5-foot-10 and 187 pounds, he has totaled 30 tackles and three passes defensed.

Reid played college football at Penn State from 2015-19, totaling 125 tackles, seven interceptions 37 passes defensed for the Nittany Lions.
