At approximately 10:45 a.m., Tuesday, April 15, members of the Duluth Police Department, Hermantown Police Department, and Lake Superior Violent Offender Task Force executed a search warrant on 63-year-old Michael Vann and his residence in the 700 block of North 7th Avenue East. Vann was detained during a traffic stop away from his residence and was in possession of 137 grams of suspected meth, 40 grams of cocaine, and $1,980.

During the execution of the search warrant at his residence, an additional 62 grams of cocaine, 3 grams of meth, and $2,956 were seized along with numerous different types of ammunition and several digital scales and evidence of drug sales.
Vann was lodged at the St. Louis County Jail on 1st Degree Sale of Meth, 1st Degree Sale of Cocaine, and Felon in Possession of Ammunition along with a DOC warrant.

Good work to both patrol and task force members for safely executing this search warrant and holding Vann accountable.
