The Duluth Harbor Monsters defeated the Iowa Woo 46-44 to capture the inaugural The Arena League championship on Saturday night at DECC Arena.

Duluth finished 7-3 overall and the season with six consecutive victories.

"Possibly one of the most eventful, enjoyable, suspenseful sporting events I have ever experienced in Duluth," said Brian Daugherty, president of Grandma's Restaurants Corporation. "More of this for our city, please! Thanks Harbor Monsters – for believing and working to make this happen."
