Hermantown to hold annual Parent-Athlete Meetings ahead of school year

HERMANTOWN — Hermantown High School will host its annual parent and student-athlete meetings on Thursday, Aug. 14, as the Activities Department prepares for the start of the 2025-26 fall sports season and outlines expectations for student-athletes participating throughout the school year.

The meetings will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Hermantown High School Auditorium. Parents of fall and winter sports participants will meet with Activities Director Alex White to review athletic department policies, eligibility requirements, academic expectations and other information for the upcoming seasons.

At the same time, student-athletes in grades 9-12 participating in fall sports will report to designated breakout rooms to meet with their respective coaches. Beginning at 6:15 p.m., all fall and winter student-athletes in grades 7-12 will reconvene in the auditorium for a department-wide presentation led by White.

The annual meetings are designed to provide families and athletes with important information before practices and competitions begin, while reinforcing expectations for academics, sportsmanship, communication and participation throughout the 2025-26 school year.
