Lake Superior College to hold Veterans Resource Fair Wednesday

Lake Superior College will host a resource fair for veterans and active military personnel from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Nov. 5, in the main concourse of its main campus.

The event will feature information from LSC offices including Financial Aid, Career Services, and Health and Wellness, along with representatives from outside organizations such as the Twin Ports Veterans Affairs, St. Louis and Cook County Veterans Services, and Veterans Resilience.

Roughly 5% of Lake Superior College’s students identify as veterans, active military, or National Guard members. The college’s Veterans Resource Center assists eligible student veterans, active-duty personnel, dependents, reservists, and Guard members with GI Bill benefits and other state and federal education programs. The center also offers help with VA benefits, employment, and family support.

A “Celebration of Service” will follow from noon to 12:30 p.m. in the Student Life Kiosk, featuring remarks from LSC President Linda Kingston and a performance by the Lake Superior College Concert Choir.

The event is free and open to the public.
