Vikings rally late to beat Browns in London

LONDON (HH) — Carson Wentz threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to Jordan Addison with 25 seconds left, lifting the Minnesota Vikings over the Cleveland Browns 21-17 on Sunday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Vikings drove 80 yards on the winning possession after a game marked by turnovers and missed chances. Cleveland had one last play, but Minnesota’s defense knocked down a deep throw as time expired.

Cleveland scored first after a Vikings fumble set up a short touchdown pass from rookie Dillon Gabriel. Minnesota tied it when Cam Akers threw a trick-play touchdown to Josh Oliver. The Browns led 10-7 at halftime.

Jordan Mason’s third-quarter rushing touchdown put the Vikings ahead, but Gabriel answered with his second scoring pass to give Cleveland a 17-14 lead. The Browns later missed a field goal before Minnesota mounted the decisive drive.

The Vikings improved to 3-2 heading into their bye week. Cleveland fell to 2-3.
