Bulldogs blank St. Cloud to begin four-game homestand

Adam Gajan stopped all 18 shots he faced and Minnesota Duluth rolled to a 4-0 victory over St. Cloud State on Friday night.

Adam Kleber broke a scoreless tie late in the first period with a goal at 14:02, assisted by Ty Hanson. The Bulldogs (1-0) extended their lead early in the second when Scout Truman converted off passes from Grayden Siepmann and Callum Arnott at 2:52.

Zam Plante added a power-play goal midway through the third period, assisted by his brother Max Plante and Hanson, and Jayson Shaugabay sealed the win with an empty-netter at 19:11.

St. Cloud State goaltender Patriks Berzins made 25 saves. The Huskies went 0-for-3 on the power play, while UMD finished 1-for-3. Both teams had four penalties for eight minutes.
