City of Duluth announces rollout of ePlace permitting and licensing system

By Kelli Latuska

The City of Duluth is rolling out its new enterprise permitting and licensing system, ePlace. ePlace will be available to the public beginning Tuesday, May 14. ePlace will help to automate and streamline the permit review process through online applications and file submissions.

The City’s eTRAKiT permit system, which has been in use since 2011, will be phased out through the ePlace implementation.

In order to facilitate switching over to this new system, some City departments will be unable to accept new applications for permits, plans, and licenses from beginning at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, May 7 until 8:00 am on Tuesday, May 14.

The public is encouraged to either submit applications before May 7 or delay submissions until ePlace is available on May 14. The City of Duluth appreciates the public’s patience during the weeklong lull.

More information about ePlace can be found at eplace.duluthmn.gov.
