Cloquet boys basketball coach Steve Battaglia on his 7-9 Jacks – "Last week was tough on us. On Tuesday, we battled back in the second half at Rock Ridge to get the game within three points only to end up losing big (90-62). On Friday, Superior beat us by 20 (80-59) at home. We've played really well in spurts, but we just haven't gotten things where we need them to be yet. We host Proctor (3-9) on Tuesday this week and then don't play again until the following Monday, at Marshall (7-7). With only one game a week for the next two weeks, we hope to get our guys healed up and ready for a February 1 return. That will give us a month to get our act together to see what we can be. We remain optimistic about the stretch run; we haven't been at full strength since early December. If we get our guys back from injury, we think we can put a run together."
