Mayor Roger J. Reinert launched the first episode of his new monthly podcast, “Welcome to Duluth! A Podcast with Mayor Roger Reinert” today.

The podcast, which will range in length from 30 to 45 approximate minutes, depending on the interview subject, and will feature Mayor Reinert sitting down in the PACT-TV studio with various people in the Duluth community who make and do the things that Duluthians most care about and engaging in a freestyle chat to tell those stories.

Mayor Reinert will lift up the voices of individuals who, in the course of their daily lives, work to do things that improve Duluth — people who create local signature events, inspirational people who work in area nonprofit organizations, and City of Duluth staff who do the work to make Duluth an attractive place to live, work, and recreate.

In the first episode of “Welcome to Duluth! A Podcast with Mayor Roger Reinert,” Mayor Reinert introduces the audience to the city’s new City Administrator, Matthew Staehling. The audience gets a chance to learn more about Matt and what drew him to Duluth after almost 30 years in municipal service in Saint Cloud, Minn. The episode also explores the difference between the roles of mayor and city administrator.

The podcast can be viewed on the City of Duluth’s YouTube channel, or listeners who wish to check out audio-only podcasts can find it on the city's website, or search for it anywhere you listen to podcasts.
