"Really enjoyed attending the Starbase fundraiser last night at the new Cirrus Innovation Center!

Starbase engages our regional technology and aviation sector powerhorses like the 148th Air National Guard and Cirrus, as well as leaders in other areas of technology like Minnesota Power and Involta. But underneath all of that is a mission to engage our youngest Duluthians in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).

STARBASE gives all students the opportunity to develop essential skills in STEM – including students who may be under-represented in STEM fields. At STARBASE, students attend for 25 hours of hands-on learning where they focus on real-world problem solving and STEM applications.

STARBASE engages students with cutting edge technologies, scientific equipment and exploration of regional and local STEM careers. Love the opportunity to engage in activities like this.

While not directly related to City functions or services, they are opportunities to highlight the good work other leaders in our community are doing to help move our region forward."
