Kristine Ann Johnson, age 54, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Kris was preceded in death by her father, Clifton Harold Johnson, and her mother, Carolyn Ann Johnson.  She is survived by her siblings: GerriLynn Mueller, Bo Johnson, Dale (Tonya) Johnson, Tracy Johnson, Jason (Paul Berg) Johnson and many nieces and nephews, all of whom shared a very special bond with her.

Kris was born on July 16, 1971.  Born with Down Syndrome, Kris began life with many challenges, though she took them all in stride.  Following her high school graduation, she had several jobs in the community through supportive employment. Kris especially enjoyed her time spent with family and friends. No outing was insignificant to her from simple walks to hikes through the woods. It was very important to Kris to be included; we are honored to be able to say that she had an incredible community of family and friends that always found a seat at the table for her.

Kris will be remembered for her sweetness, her playful sense of humor, and the pure unconditional love she showed us all. Her life was a gift, and her memory will live on.

A service will be held at Mount Olive Church, 2012 E. Superior St, Duluth, MN 55812, on Monday, December 1, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., with a gathering to follow.
