National Bank of Commerce (NBC), a local community bank with a 90-year history of helping make more possible, celebrated its 4th bi-annual Community Impact Week of Caring.

Throughout the week of May 13, 150 associates gave back to our communities through 332 hours of volunteer time. Over the course of the week, NBC volunteers partnered with several local nonprofit organizations to complete the following:

. Challenge Center in Superior: cleaning, painting, yard cleanup, and other spring tasks to spruce up both homes.

. Superior Public Museums: Fairlawn Mansion and the Old Firehouse & Police Museum. Prepare for the summer by cleaning the grounds, landscaping, gardening, painting, and other tasks.

. NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) shelter in Superior: mowing, yard cleanup, painting, and assembling up a new playset.

. CASDA (Center Against Sexual & Domestic Abuse): cleaning up the yard and painting the inside of their building to give it a new, fresh look.

. YMCA Camp Tall Pines: outside cleanup, organizing, raking, and putting in the dock.

• Wade Stadium: scraping paint, painting inside, sweeping, cleaning, and preparing it for the upcoming season.

. North Hibbing area: road and highway cleanup.

. Hibbing Police Department: delivered cupcakes for National Police Officers Week.

. Hibbing hospitals: packed 48 “Smile Bags” to support kids in local hospitals.
