Senior power forward Abe Soumis scored 48 points to power Hermantown past host Chisago Lakes 104-101 in a nonconference basketball game Monday night. Soumis, the Hawks' career and single-season points leader, has now scored 40 or more points in a game six times this season. Hermantown (19-6) visits Duluth East (9-16) Friday night. The Greyhounds defeated visiting Grand Rapids 79-54 on Monday, when super-sophomore Ty Nyberg scored a game-high 24 points.
