Mayor Reinert urges residents to weigh in on city services

“From streets and utilities to parks and libraries, housing, public safety and economic development, the inaugural resident survey will shape decisions that impact every Duluthian.” -- Mayor Roger Reinert

The city of Duluth has launched a new resident survey aimed at gauging community priorities, evaluating city services and guiding future policy and investment decisions.

The survey will be conducted by the Bureau of Business and Economic Research at the University of Minnesota Duluth’s Labovitz School of Business and Economics.

Mayor Roger Reinert urged residents to take part.

“I encourage Duluthians to take ten minutes and participate,” Reinert said in a statement. “We need resident input as the city considers policy and funding priorities. From streets and utilities to parks and libraries, housing, public safety and economic development, the inaugural resident survey will shape decisions that impact every Duluthian.”

The survey is open to city residents 18 and older. Responses will remain confidential and handled only by the UMD research team. Each resident may respond once, and participation is voluntary.

The questionnaire is expected to take about 10 minutes to complete. Residents can access it online at http://z.umn.edu/duluthsurvey, or request a paper copy at select city facilities.

The survey will remain open for one month.

Tom Pohlad has continued to express a commitment to winning, but the roster construction has yet to reflect that urgency. The absence of a clear replacement for Pablo Lopez, combined with instability at shortstop and in the bullpen, suggests a team operating below the standard required to contend.
