Essentia Health to offer walk-in flu shot clinics across Duluth area

Health officials recommend flu vaccination for everyone 6 months and older. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the American Academy of Pediatrics both stress that the vaccine is one of the safest and most effective ways to protect against seasonal influenza.

Essentia Health is offering a series of walk-in flu vaccination clinics this month for patients 6 months of age and older.

The clinics will be held at several Essentia sites:

Essentia Health-Lakewalk Clinic, 1502 London Rd. — 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 11

Essentia Health-West Duluth Clinic, 4212 Grand Ave. — 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Oct. 11

Essentia Health-Lakeside Clinic, 4621 E. Superior St. — 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 18

Essentia Health-Proctor Clinic, 211 S. Boundary Ave. — 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Oct. 25

Essentia Health-Hermantown Clinic, 4855 W. Arrowhead Rd. — 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Oct. 25

Flu shots are covered by Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurance plans. Appointments can also be scheduled through Essentia MyChart, online at EssentiaHealth.org/flu or by calling (844) 663-1068. Patients are encouraged to wear short sleeves for easier administration.
