The Minnesota Star Tribune announces return of The Wrap

MINNEAPOLIS — The Star Tribune will host the second annual edition of The Wrap on Saturday, Jan. 3 at the newspaper’s Heritage printing facility in Minneapolis’ North Loop.

The immersive year-in-review event offers a look back at Minnesota’s most defining stories of 2025 through interactive exhibits, live music, food, and storytelling from the state’s largest news organization.

“Now in its second year, The Wrap is both a reflection on Minnesota’s collective journey through the year and a celebration of the people and ideas that make our state remarkable,” said Steve Grove, Star Tribune publisher and CEO.

The event will feature live local music, food and cocktails from Minnesota chefs, and visual installations inspired by the year’s top stories. Details on featured chefs and entertainment will be announced later at startribune.com/thewrap.

A silent and online auction will benefit the Local News Fund, which supports local reporting across Minnesota.

The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with food, drinks, and music, followed by a brief program at 7:30 p.m. Live performances continue through the night, with the auction and raffle winners announced at 9 p.m. The event concludes at 11 p.m.

Additional details, including ticket information and photos, are available at startribune.com/thewrap.

Founded 158 years ago, the Star Tribune is Minnesota’s largest news organization and a seven-time Pulitzer Prize winner, recognized for its commitment to journalistic excellence and innovation.

Tom Pohlad has continued to express a commitment to winning, but the roster construction has yet to reflect that urgency. The absence of a clear replacement for Pablo Lopez, combined with instability at shortstop and in the bullpen, suggests a team operating below the standard required to contend.
