Snively's Lounge opens June 1 in Duluth’s Historic City Hall

“We’re building a space that feels both familiar and unexpected. Snively’s invites you to step back from the noise, enjoy something handcrafted, and connect with Duluth’s spirit in a whole new way.” -- Dan Grew, Marketing Director for the Brewhouse Family

The Brewhouse Family today announced the grand opening of Snively’s Lounge, a vibrant cocktail lounge nestled in Duluth’s original City Hall. Opening to the public on Sunday, June 1, Snively’s pairs small-town warmth with big-city elegance all within one of Duluth’s most storied landmarks.

Named for Mayor Samuel F. Snively, Duluth’s longest-serving mayor and the visionary behind many of its scenic parkways, the lounge is a tribute to legacy, leisure, and local creativity.

Snively’s Lounge features a curated menu designed for discovery and delight:

. Fresh-squeezed cocktails and house-made botanical infusions

. Snively’s Favorites – timeless classic cocktails

. Fitger’s Brewhouse craft beer – available for $6

. Rotating non-alcoholic offerings – shrubs, organic lemonades, and fruit-forward ice cream drinks made with real purées

Designed as a space to linger, connect, and explore, Snively’s will also host a dynamic lineup of music nights from classical to contemporary sounds.

“We’re building a space that feels both familiar and unexpected,” said Dan Grew, Marketing Director for the Brewhouse Family. “Snively’s invites you to step back from the noise, enjoy something handcrafted, and connect with Duluth’s spirit in a whole new way.”

The interior combines vintage character, natural light, cushioned seating, and refined details.

Located at 132 E Superior Street, in Duluth’s historic City Hall, also home to The Oliver Inn and The Rathskeller, Snively’s Lounge joins a beloved lineup of destinations from the Brewhouse Family, including Fitger’s Brewhouse, Fitger's Barrel Room, Burrito Union, and Endion Station.

Howie: Vikings burning it down

That’s the tragedy of this season — it’s not the losing, it’s the lying. Every move is sold as “strategic.” Every mistake is “part of the process.” Every loss is “valuable learning.” It’s a corporate PowerPoint in shoulder pads. This isn’t football anymore. It’s asset management in cleats.

Howie: Bulldogs, Viktor Plante, Mirage, Jason Watt

There’s something quietly magnetic about Jason Watt on a Bulldogs hockey broadcast. He’s not trying to sound like anyone else. He doesn’t force energy or jargon. He just explains the game — clearly, comfortably, and with the kind of authenticity that comes only from having lived it.

The likeliest play is a polite handshake extension — one year, maybe two, at something closer to $2 million per. A team-friendly, locker-room-cred deal.
