Nordic Skiing – at Cloquet, 5 p.m.

Boys Hockey – at Proctor, 7 p.m. Game Notes: The Class 1A/No. 1-ranked Hawks will be looking to rebound from a 4-0 loss at Shakopee last Friday, their first shutout loss since 2015. In fairness, Hermantown (6-2-2) was playing its third game in three days, after posting consecutive 5-1 home wins against Delano and East Grand Forks. The Hawks continue to be led by junior power forward River Freeman (team-high 16 points and seven goals) and senior goaltender Dane Callaway (1.59 goals-against and .948 saves percentage).

Thursday

Wrestling – Quad meet at Rock Ridge, 5 p.m.

Boys Hockey – at Rock Ridge, 7 p.m. Game Note: The Wolverines are 8-1-1 overall and tied Delano 4-4 in overtime in Eveleth last Thursday. Rock Ridge's signature win: 3-1 vs. Duluth Denfeld at home on Dec. 12.

Friday

Girls Basketball – host Duluth East, 7:15 p.m. Game Notes: The Hawks (2-9) will be looking to snap a two-game losing streak against the Greyhounds (3-8), who had lost three straight heading into Tuesday's game against Hibbing. Hermantown is led by junior center Olivia Johnson and junior guard Mikayla Sweeney, senior guard Bailey Zagelmeyer and sophomore guard Bailey Hermanson.

Boys Basketball – at Rock Ridge, 7:15 p.m. Game Notes: The Hawks (5-5) are flying high following an impressive 80-63 win against Monticello in the Delano Holiday Tournament last Friday. Hermantown is led by senior power forward Abe Soumis, one of the top players in northeastern Minnesota.

Saturday

Wrestling – at Superior, 10:30 a.m.

Nordic Skiing – vs. Mesabi East at Giants Ridge, 11 a.m.

Girls Hockey – host Hill-Murray, 1 p.m. in Proctor. Game Notes: The Mirage (8-5-1) defeated host Simley 5-2 last Thursday, behind two goals by senior forward Izy Fairchild.

Boys Hockey – host Eden Prairie, 3 p.m. Game Note: EP is 7-3-1 overall following an impressive 8-1 victory against Chaska last Friday at Dakotah! Ice Center. Sophomore forward Mason Moe is the Eagles' top scorer with eight goals and 19 points. EP has won three straight, including a 9-2 win over Moorhead last Thursday, and arguably will be the Hawks' most challenging opponent this season.

Boys Basketball – vs. Becker at Duluth East (Lake Superior Classic), 5 p.m. Game Note: The Bulldogs are 6-3 overall.
